Nowadays digital cameras take pictures in megabyte resolution. Normal consumer cameras reach around 16 megapixel and professional studio cameras reach up to 80 megapixel to show the finest detail of a scene.

Gigapixel photography goes far beyound that state-of-the-art. Using high-resolution cameras of up to 40 megapixel, GIGA360 takes series of shots of a scene or an object to create an image of up to 80 gigapixel. That means 1000x higher resolution than the best digital camera is able to shot at the moment.

How does that work? The answer is stiching. We combine hundreds of single images to create one ultra-large one. Together with a dedicated viewer software (plug-in) we can show it to you simply in your web browser.

And you can use it for so many purposes. Starting from architectural impressions, to scenic views for tourism, advertising, information and customer attraction. And you can even use it for printing your GIGApicture in very large scale without losing a single pixel in detail.

Here you can see the first examples of our work. As we just have started, these are not many yet, but we are busy working on creating new impressive GIGA360s'...
